International Arena Aquamasters Swimming Championships in Istanbul
Dear Aquamasters Family,
Under auspices of the Governorship of Muğla, in coordination and cooperation with Turkish
Swimming Federation, and Muğla Directorate of Youth Services and Sports, we have been
organizing the International Arena Aquamasters Swimming Championships since 2015, and
trying to organize innovative, special, joyous, and most importantly, secure and quality
championships for our swimmers and their families since the very first one.
Municipality of Marmaris, Martu Resort Deluxe and Martı La Perla are going to host one
more time our “Bronze Championship”, i.e. the 10 th International Arena Aquamasters
Swimming Championships, in Marmaris, the pearl of the Southern Aegean, and of Turkey, on
May 1 st -5 th , 2019. We would like to express our gratitude to our hosts.
The Short Course Swimming Championship will be held on May 1 st -3 rd , 2019, due to the
public holiday on May 1 st . Open Water Swimming Championships, an Aquamasters tradition
already, will be held on the following two days, i.e. May 4 th -5 th , 2019.
We would like to share some details of our championships.
As well known, Aquamasters Championships is a set of swimming races and variety of
events, lasting more than a day. This makes the International Arena Aquamasters Swimming
Championship the most comprehensive swimming event not only in Turkey, but also in the
entire Mediterranean region. The program of the championship prepared with the
innovative approach Arena Aquamasters team is proud to have includes the following:
May 1 st -3 rd , 2019 (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday):
International Short Course Swimming Championship,
May 4 th -5 th , 2019 (Saturday and Sunday)
Four separate races in the Open Water Swimming Championship.
In the morning of Saturday, May 4 th ,
Aquamasters swimmers will swim 5K Open Water Half Marathon, in the crystal clear water in the Gulf of Marmaris.
In the afternoon of the same day, “SETUR MARINAS 4x500 M RELAY RACE” will take place.
Teams of four will swim for 2000 meters in total in the open water for this utterly
competitive event. The participation to relay race is limited to 100 teams, i.e. 400 swimmers
who do not have to be swimming club members. We strongly believe that the relay race will
contribute to cooperation, excitement and joy for our swimmers.
On the last day of our championships, Sunday, May 5 th , 2019, two traditional events with the
broadest participation will take place: Martı Hotels 1.5K Open Water Swimming
Championship, and 3K Open Water Swimming Championship.

Aquamasters’ vision and mission consists of contributing the awareness on swimming, and
promoting it broadly as a very special sport that can be experienced by anyone at any age,
introducing it with a love for the sea to as many people as possible. In accord with these
principles, we will very soon be pleased to announce the special events and activities in the
near future.
International Aquamasters Swimming Championships is a part of the collaboration between
Turkish Swimming Federation and Sportive Inc., the distributor of the world-renowned
sports company Arena. Arena is the main sponsor of FINA (International Swimming
Federation) and Turkish Swimming Federation. Together with or dear supporters, we all will
be having sportive, competitive, surprising and cheerful times in the championships.
